Retro-Inspired Electronic Game Machine Patent Art Print
Celebrate the innovative spirit of handheld gaming with this exquisitely detailed patent art print of an iconic electronic game machine. Originating from a 2007 filing by masterminds Yui Ehara and Tomoki Yamamoto in Kyoto, Japan, this blueprint showcases the ingenuity behind a dual-screened, interactive device that revolutionized portable gaming.
The art print features a crisp, high-contrast representation of the original patent sketches, including multiple views that highlight the device's sleek design and functional elements. Each aspect of the console, from the clamshell silhouette to the placement of buttons and screens, is captured with precision, making it a perfect piece for gaming enthusiasts and collectors of tech memorabilia.
Printed on premium, archival-quality paper, this art piece not only pays homage to the golden era of gaming but also serves as a conversation starter and a source of inspiration for future innovators. It is presented in a monochrome palette to emphasize the technical artistry, making it an ideal addition to any game room, office, or living space where the pioneering spirit of digital entertainment is appreciated.
The History:
Nintendo DS® Patent Print
"Nintendo DS"
Yui Ehara, Kyoto (JP); Tomoki Yamamoto, Kyoto (JP) , Oct. 30, 2007.
The Nintendo DS or simply, DS, is a 32-bit dual-screen handheld game console developed and released by Nintendo. The device went on sale in North America on November 21, 2004. The DS, short for "Developers' System" or "Dual Screen", introduced distinctive new features to handheld gaming: two LCD screens working in tandem (the bottom one featuring a touchscreen), a built-in microphone, and support for wireless connectivity. Both screens are encompassed within a clamshell design similar to the Game Boy Advance SP. The Nintendo DS also features the ability for multiple DS consoles to directly interact with each other over Wi-Fi within a short range without the need to connect to an existing wireless network. Alternatively, they could interact online using the now-closed Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service. Its main competitor was Sony's PlayStation Portable as part of the seventh generation era.
